Health
🐾 All animals boarding with us must be in good health.
🐾 You must inform us if your pet has any existing medical conditions, each case will be taken into account and we will do our best to accommodate their needs.
🐾 If we feel your pet is showing signs of illness or injury we may refuse to accept them. This is for the benefit of your pet and that of other animals boarding with us.
🐾 Rabbits must be vaccinated against Myxomatosis and VHD and proof provided via email before arrival. Failure to provide in these documents will result in your booking being cancelled with no refunds being issued.
🐾 There are currently no vaccination requirement for other small animals.
🐾 We will take the utmost care of your pet whilst in our care and follow your pet’s daily routines carefully, helping to minimize any stress to your pet whilst with us.
🐾 Unfortunately, small animals can sometimes pass away without any warning and we cannot accept any liability in the unlikely event that this happens during their stay at The Burrows @ Dinghurst Farm.
🐾 All pets are left entirely at the owner’s risk.
Accommodation
We only offer accommodation for outdoor pets.
Hutches are 1300 mm x Depth: 650 mm x Width: 1760.
Your pets must be bonded before they board with us. If they are not bonded, please book 2 lodges. We do not provide a bonding service.
The Burrows @ Dinghurst Farm will not be held responsible for any fights between bonded animals housed together. If we see signs of fighting we reserve the right to separate the pair and the owner is liable for the additional charge for separate accommodation/provisions. You will be contacted via your emergency contact details if this occurs.
Food
Our daily price includes: hay, fresh vegetable and herbs (lots of which we grow ourselves).
It is your responsibility to advise us of any likes or dislikes you pet may have. If known we will respect at all times.
We ask that you bring your pet's own usual dried food to ensure consistency with their diet.
Vets
When a booking is made, we will request your vets’ details in case of an emergency.
If your pet becomes ill during their stay with us, we will inform you immediately and consult a vet. If we are unable to get hold of you in an emergency we will act under the advice of the vet consulted. By signing our booking form you are consenting for us to use our discretion and take your pet to the vet if necessary. An animal's welfare is our primary concern and we will always put what is best for them first.
If your pet then requires medical attention from the vet we will transport them there for treatment.
We charge £10 per hour for this service.
Any costs for treatment by the vet must be met by you, the owner.
Your pet will be treated under your name and address, either at our vets or yours depending on the distance to your vet’s surgery.
In the extremely unlikely event that your pet passes away whilst in our care, we will contact you immediately and follow your wishes.
Opening hours
We are open every day for boarding, including bank holidays.
We do not offer collection and drop off on a bank holiday so please book the additional required day.
Check out is 10:00 - 11:00 am.
Check in 14:00 - 15:00 pm
We can accommodate drop off and collections outside these times with prior notice.
Payment
All payments is to be made in full on booking and is fully refundable up to 7 days before the first day of your stay.
The daily rate includes the day your pet is brought to us and the day they leave.
Any additional costs incurred during your pets stay will need to be paid before your pet is collected.
Payment is via the website of bank transfer only.
No cash is accepted or held onsite.
Abandoned Pets
If your pet is not collected on the due day and we are unable to contact you via the information you have given us, we will, after seven days seek to have your pet re-homed.
Our Commitments to You
The Burrows @ Dinghurst Farm will provide safe, clean, and appropriate boarding conditions for your pet(s).
Each animal will have an assigned run which they will have access to for a minimum for 8 hours each day.
All our animals will be kept in their family groups which means we will take no responsibility for any pet’s pregnancy.
Pricing includes : litter, hay, fresh veggies & herbs, toys, access to outside space.
There is no charge for the day of departure providing you collect your pet before 11am. After 11am you will be charged for another day.
